Spring can't come soon enough after this past weekend's storm and the mess on the roads today. As a matter of fact, spring has sprung...Spring Training, that is. Boston Red Sox players officially report to Florida this week and this morning the team's principal owner, John Henry, met with the media.

Henry told reporters that he was adamant about keeping the team. There were reports late last year from Fox Business News that he planned to sell.

According to the Boston Globe, Henry said, "We had a core philosophy for a lot of the years and we moved away from that philosophy and it’s hurt us. It’s definitely hurt us. Last year, I think, was the beginning of trying to put us back on the right track."

What of this year? "I definitely think we will contend for a playoff spot."

Let's hope so, or our spring might be just as long as our winter.
