Legion Baseball Zone 1 Playoffs Begin

The six team Zone 1 American Legion baseball tournament field is set and the postseason start today at the Winkin Complex on the Husson University campus in Bangor.

Post 51 (Messalonskee) and Coffee News Comrades (Bangor) are the top two seeds and get first round byes.

The play-in round today includes #4 Skowhegan vs #5 Brewer at 5pm. #3 Hampden vs #6 Trenton at 8pm.

The top-4 teams begin a double-elimination tourney, running Friday through Sunday.

The Coffee News Bangor team is the two-time defending state Legion champion.
