It was a United Way fundraiser fish fry in Upstate New York and Blake Visin and his son Tyler set out to catch some fish. What they came home with was unbelievable. It was a monster.  The fish fry, set for this Thursday, sent a group of family and friends to the Watree River in the Lugoff-Camden area. The idea was to catch as many fish as possible to serve at the United Way benefit. The group was catching fish, mostly channel and flathead catfish, which is usually found in the river. Visin and his son never expected the blue catfish they reeled in. The giant catfish tipped the scales at 70 pounds. When the fishing was done, the group pulled in plenty of bounty for the United Way benefit. Visin and son Tyler alone, hauled in enough fish to feed 100 people, thanks in a big way to one that didn’t get away, the 70 pounder!
