Maine Gas Prices Are Almost Ten Cents Per Gallon Higher This Week

It sure seems like gas prices go higher a lot quicker than they go down. According to the price-monitoring website GasBuddy.com, gas prices in Maine went up 9.9 cents per gallon this week for a statewide average of $1.904.

Nationally, gas prices rose by just over 12 cents per gallon for an average of $1.939.

The lowest reported gas price in Maine was at a gas station in Scarborough, at $1.69 per gallon.

New Jersey has the country's lowest average gas prices with an average at $1.693. Eleven states now have an average gas price of two dollars per gallon or higher.
