Maine came in 48th on the list.

Texas was named the best state in America to make a living in 2015. Washington was second and Wyoming was third. All three states do not have a state income tax.

The rest of the top ten were:
4. Virginia
5. Illinois
6. Michigan
7. Colorado
8. Delaware
9. Ohio
10. Utah

The bottom ten are
10. Connecticut
9. Rhode Island
8. South Dakota

Here's what they had to say about Maine:

The cost of living is also above average, while the average income is $42,140. The estimated state tax on average income is $2,709.16.'
