Trying to figure out if your car is being recalled? It's probably a confusing and long process. We can help!

The current recall underway is one of the largest in US history.

This week, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced a nation-wide recall of millions of cars with potentially deadly airbag issues.

Think your car has been affected? Here's what you do:

First, visit the NHTSA's website, and look up any recalls by using your vehicle's VIN.

After you have that info, you might want to see if your recall issue has already been fixed. Carfax has a free-to-use app that lets you see if your car has a recall, and tells you if it's been fixed.

Looking for your VIN? You'll probably find it on your front driver’s side dash or registration card.

If your car is part of this nation-wide recall effort, or any other recall, get in touch with a local dealer to schedule a free fix. That's right: It's free!

Good luck, and safe driving.
