Super Bowl XLVII will be held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey this year and the NFL is being sued over ticket prices. Josh Finkelman paid $4,000 for two tickets and he’s not happy about it. He says the NFL makes it impossible for the average person to attend the big game.

He claims the NFL is violating the New Jersey Consumer Fraud act by teams offering tickets to re-sellers who inflate the price.  The NFL says about 75% of tickets are given to teams with the two participating teams getting about 35% of those. The teams hold lotteries among their fans for the tickets.

The average price for one ticket to the big game this year is $3,432.90 which is down  $79.54 from last year. That price is a long way from the Super Bowl one ticket price of $10.00
