Radio Shack Closing 13 Maine Stores; Including Two In Augusta

Radio Shack has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and they will be closing 2,400 stores nationwide, including thirteen of them in Maine.

The thirteen stores closing in Maine, include the two in Augusta.

The company had not turned a profit since 2011 and they still operate nearly 5,500 stores and employs about 27,500 people worldwide.

It looks like the Maine stores will be closing by the end of March.
