The Boston Red Sox have sent outfielder Yoenis Cespedes to the Detroit Tigers for starting pitcher Rick Porcello.

Cespedes was traded to Boston last season from Oakland for pitcher Jon Lester. In essence the Red Sox ended up trading Jon Lester for Rick Porcello. I think this could end up as one of the wort trades in team history.

Cespedes, 29, was an all-star last season and has a career .263 batting average with 71 home runs and 262 RBIs in his three years in major league baseball.

Porcello is added to the revamped Red Sox starting pitching lineup, who just added Wade Miley in a trade with Arizona.

Porcello, 25, had a 15-13 record last year with a 3.43 ERA and only 129 strikeouts in 204.2 innings pitched. In six seasons he had a career 4.30 ERA.

I think this trade is very bad for Boston. What do you think?
