Saturday’s College Bowl Games and the Spread
With the College Bowl games starting this Saturday here are some picks for this weekend and the spreads that have been set. The first game is at 11:00 on ESPN, the New Orleans Bowl. Nevada is a +1 over Louisiana Lafayette, Nevada is expected to cover.
New Mexico Bowl pits Utah State and UTEP. Utah is 4th in the nation in sacks and has a +10 margin in turnovers. Utah State -10 and is expected to win.
Las Vegas Bowl has Colorado State taking on Utah. Colorado State is +3 over Utah even though they gain over 497 yards a game. Utah is the leader in sacks in the nation with 52. State gets the nod on the win.
Idaho Potato Bowl is Air Force vs Western Michigan. Western Michigan has a lack of speed on defense and has not faced an option attack like Air Force’s. Air Force -1.5 and expected to cover.
Camellia Bowl with Southern Alabama and Bowling Green with the Jaguars getting the nod to win. Southern Alabama does have a solid defense and can move the ball offensively and are a -3 in the game. Despite the spread Bowling should come out on top and cover.
