Millions of New Englanders have made family memories at New Hampshire’s Story Land amusement park.

For many families, summer was not complete until they had visited Story Land at least once.  For others, season passes meant regular visits to the park throughout the summer and fall.

The park, which celebrates 70 years in 2024, is truly iconic.

It is also ever-changing.  Every few years, a major attraction is added to the park’s lineup.  In the early 2000s, it was the Crazy Barn.  In the 2010s, it was the Roar-o-Saurus.  In 2024, the park will open Moo Lagoon, a new water park.

On top of the major additions to the park, the owners are always making smaller additions and changes to what Story Land offers.

This is true of the park’s policies, too.

If it has been a few years since your family has visited the park, you will want to look at our list of things you need to know before your visit.

15 Things You Need to Know Before Visiting Story Land

Hopefully, this information will help you plan your visit to Story Land. Get more information from the Story Land website.

As a former resident of North Conway, New Hampshire, Story Land has a special place in my heart.  My family spent many happy hours at the park.  Before we moved away, we often visited the park nearly every weekend.

As a struggling radio DJ in the early 2000s, I was even blessed to be able to work at the park part-time.  I spent the spring and fall helping paint the park. I had the opportunity to paint iconic rides like the Polar Coaster, and parts of the pirate ship.

And during the height of the summer season, I had the opportunity to work at the now-defunct Heritage New Hampshire.  I was the woodsman in Strawberry Bank and got to demonstrate the Segway.

Even though my Story Land work was just a side hustle, it was still one of the best jobs I ever had.
