The results of a recent Gallup study shows that almost seven out of every ten Maine workers are not engaged in their jobs.

68.5 percent of Maine workers in the study were determined to be either 'not engaged' or 'actively disengaged' in their work.

That places Maine 19th among states with 31.5 percent of its workers engaged in their jobs.

Louisiana was number one in engaged workers at 37 percent, while Minnesota came in last at 25.7 percent.

The Gallup study was the results of more than 80,000 interviews from 2014. The results showed a national uptick in employee engagement from 30 percent to 31.5 percent.

Managers and company executives had the highest engagement rate, at 38.4 percent. Fisherman, farmers and foresters were next highest at 33.6 percent. Those working in manufacturing were least engaged at around 23 percent.

So, how engaged are you with your job?
