As a huge 'American Idol' fan is was kind of bittersweet to watch the final episode of the show. The finale this season had Trent Harmon versus La'Porsha Renae and frankly who won took a backseat to seeing how they would send off this iconic piece of American television.
Just two shows left of 'American Idol' and the top three become the final two with the winner crowned Thursday night. The show opens with one of those infamous American Idol group songs. Then Ryan Seacrest announces that the first round will feature the song that will be released to radio if they are the winner.
Trent Harmon looked like an American Idol frontrunner during and after his performance of ZZ Top's "Sharp Dressed Man" last Thursday. Mentor Scott Borchetta says he's playing the part off stage as well, but stopped short of admitting Harmon has passed La'Porsha Renae as the singer to beat.
American Idol finalist Trent Harmon will perform Justin Timberlake's lone country single "Drink You Away" during Thursday night's episode (Fox, 8PM ET). It's a first in many ways for the show, mentor Scott Borchetta says.
The end of 'American Idol' is just two weeks away and we say goodbye to one more of this season's finalists. The final four will sing two songs apiece and we also hear performances from past 'American Idol' winner David Cook, past finalist Katherine McPhee and pop start Sia.
