LeAnn Rimes had tried her hand at songwriting prior to recording 'Family,' but her influence was never as strong as it is on this album, which was released five years ago today (Oct. 9, 2012). Rimes is listed as the first writer of all 12 of the songs released on the standard edition of her ninth record. The result is a project that scored two Grammy nominations and a round of applause from critics.
LeAnn Rimes is changing her life in many ways. Some of the changes are big, while others are small but worthwhile. After checking into a treatment center last month in order to deal with some personal drama and to learn to better cope with and manage her stress, the singer isn't stopping there. The active tweeter shared a photo showing off her new hairstyle. It's not a drastic change, but she looks great nonetheless.
It's been an interesting few days for LeAnn Rimes. Wednesday it was announced that she would headline a show at the Oxford Fair. Thursday she admitted herself into rehab for stress management. Now, she has filed a lawsuit with the L.A. County Superior Court against Kimberly and Lexi Smiley, two woman who allegedly recorded a conversation with Rimes in an effort to create a smear campaign against the singer.
One day after celebrating her 30th birthday, LeAnn Rimes announced she will be taking 30 days off to “cope with anxiety and stress” in an in-patient treatment facility. Yesterday it was also announced that she would be performing at the Oxford Fair on September 15th. According to that statement in the online edition of People, “The country star — who has been gearing up for the upcoming release of her latest studio album, ‘Spitfire,’ and a fall tour — will continue to perform in September during breaks from treatment.”
