If you have snowmobiles and they are registered in Maine, New Hampshire or Vermont you can go exploring this weekend, January 25 to 28, 2013!  ‘Reciprocal Snowmobile Weekend’ is on now until Sunday and allows all legally registered Maine snowmobiles to be operated in New Hampshire and Vermont without being registered in those states.

Ice Festival Coming to Lewiston Feb. 22-24

A new event is coming next month to Lewiston. An Ice Festival will be held at Fountain Park in Lewiston on February 22nd, 23rd and 24th. The festival will feature three ice bars, plenty of food, live music and a 8-foot-tall Sasquatch ice sculpture!

Ugh. Winter in Maine is not my favorite time of the year. I am not a big fan of the cold or the snow. Why do I live here? The rest of the year is darn nice.  So, as I was standing in out in the cold at the Augusta Dog Park (Yeah, I hate the cold, but I will stand out in it for my fur-baby!) it dawned on me I have a short list in the last couple of years that have made winter much more manageable for me.
