For once, a major winter snowstorm is going to miss us here in Maine. But other parts of the East Coast won't be so lucky. The Mid-Atlantic region of the country is going to get hit hard by the weekend storm. Fortunately, the Bangor Police have some helpful advice on their Facebook page to help those poor people weather the storm so they can return and spend money in Maine in the summer!
WSI, a division of The Weather Company, has issued their January through March 2016 outlook update. The forecast includes the potential for a significant cold snap in parts of the central and eastern states starting in the middle portion of January.
It seems scientists now agree, ‘cuffing season’ is for real. Never heard of ‘cuffing season’? The definition is: ‘During the fall and Winter months people who would rather be single or promiscuous find themselves desiring to be ‘Cuffed’ or tied down by a serious relationship’.
Our late afternoon announcer, Mike Poulin, called me the grim reaper, because I told him that we could get up to a foot of snow this weekend. Let me make this perfectly clear, I am not a snow fan. I am just a weather geek.
