Taylor Swift will take the stage in August to perform at the 2014 MTV Music Awards, and it sounds like her performance will be one to watch.

E Online reports that Swift is readying an 'explosive' performance, with a source dishing, "It's not a collaboration with another singer." The songstress always puts on a great show, ranging from heartfelt to dramatic, with surprising outfit changes and full-on emotion -- and based on her track record, her MTV Music Awards set will not disappoint.

Swift joins other performers like Usher, Ariana Grande and 5 Seconds of Summer. She has won two Moonman trophies in the past, taking home Best Female Video in 2009 and 2013 for 'You Belong With Me' and 'I Knew You Were Trouble.'

Even though the 'Red' hitmaker isn't up for any awards at this awards show, fans will get to see Swift shining in all her glory onstage. The song she'll perform has not yet been reported; will it be a song off her 'Red' album, or new one from her forthcoming record which is expected to impact sometime this year?

The 2014 MTV Video Music Awards will air on Aug. 24 at 9PM ET from the Forum in Inglewood, Calif.
