There May a Shortage of Velveeta Cheese on Super Sunday
Velveeta Cheese makes a great dip. The Super Bowl is a great time to make dip. Kraft Foods, the maker of Velveeta, is warning there may be shortage this year. With the ‘dip’ season in full gear, some East Coast grocery shoppers may find it hard to find Velveeta Cheese.
A favorite dip for the Big Game is Velveeta Cheese mixed with green chilies and canned tomatoes. The shortage seems to be caused by the high demand for the cheese this time of year, coming off of all the college football bowl games and the National Championship, and now the Super Bowl.
It is expected to be a short term issue and hopefully for sports fans an issue short enough to be resolved by Super Sunday.
