A few days ago, we got word that law enforcement was looking for the public's help in located a missing person from Newburgh.

Megan Mason Dorcy was last seen in Bangor on March 10th.

Sadly, the Silver Alert for Dorcy has been cancelled because Dorcy has been found deceased.

A press release from the Maine Department of Public safety says, in part:

The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office has cancelled the Silver Alert for Megan Mason Dorcy, who was found deceased. Out of respect for and in conjunction with the immediate family, the update was delayed so individuals could be properly notified. We appreciate your assistance. Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of Dorcy.
