Waterloo Revival saw much success with song "Backwood Bump" even before deciding to release it as a single. Currently in rotation on ESPN's College Game Day and with a choreographed dance routine from the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, the song is already a crowd favorite. So, it's only fitting that Waterloo Revival's Cody Cooper and George Birge filmed a proper music video for the song.

The official music video for "Backwood Bump" has the guys crashing a swanky engagement party. The soiree turns into a backyard concert with the soon-to-be wife and her friends showing off their dance moves and learning the "Backwood Bump."

The video was produced by Michelle Robertson, directed by William Gawley and edited by Stephen Shiveley for Charlotte Avenue Pictures. Robert Royston (Taylor Swift's “Love Story”) acted as choreographer for the dance portion of the video.

"Backwood Bump" was written by Birge, Tommy Cecil, Evan Coffman and Brock Berryhill. In an interview with Taste of Country earlier this year, Birge said that the song instantly become a fan favorite, and it's easy to see why. The hit offers a thumping beat, hand-clapped rhythms and a catchy chorus that begs to be accompanied by dancing and singing. Watch the video for "Backwood Bump" above.

Waterloo Revival spent the summer of 2016 on the road with Toby Keith promoting songs from their debut EP, Front Row. As Birge explains, it was important for the duo to showcase their dynamics as songwriters on the six-song EP.

“We’re not a one-trick pony. We can write all types of different songs because we’ve lived all these situations,” he insists. “The biggest thing for us was we wanted an EP that represented real life — the highs, the lows, the parties, the breakups, the love songs. We felt like those six songs best encapsulated that.”

Birge recently became a first-time parent. His wife, Kara Lee Birge, gave birth to George James Birge on Jan. 16.

"We started our little family today," Birge wrote on Facebook. "Welcome to the world George James Birge you made us the happiest people in the world today!"
