Damian Osgood, 31, from Wilton, Maine is training for his first bodybuilding show. I have personally been friends with Damian for about 7 or 8 years and this guy deserves his own reality television show. Here's a little bit about Damian's story.

Damian has dreamed of doing a bodybuilding show since he was 14 years old. He started training as a teenager at home and then trained in power lifting. Damian was a natural at power lifting, by the age of 17 he had already won two World Championships, one in the deadlift and one in bench press.

That all came to an abrupt end when at 18 years old Damian was hit by a truck traveling at 60 MPH while he was walking.

Damian, then focused on being a bench press specialist. By the age of 23, he had won four World Bench Press Championships and had five World records! Damian became the youngest person to ever bench press over 600 pounds while weighing under 200 pounds. He benched 605 pounds while weighing 178 pounds.

Damian suffered another setback with a workplace injured at a local paper mill at age 27. He suffered a serious shoulder and nerve injury, he was told that he'd never be able to compete again.

Damian took over two years off from stepping into a gym or lifting any weights. Damian needed the time off to accept what was taken from him.

That didn't stop him, it just changed his goals. Damian then decided to train for his first bodybuilding show. He's dieted and trained harder and smarter than ever and he is gearing up for his bodybuilding show on October 3rd at the NPC Big Cat Classic in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Then he'll be doing his second show on October 10th at the NPC East Coast Cup Championship in New Haven, CT.

Stepping onto that bodybuilding stage will complete a lifelong dream for Damian.

Training for a bodybuilding show is an expensive dream, Damian has a gofundme page to help with food expenses, travel expenses and competition fees. Here's how you can help Damian achieve his latest goal.
