142nd Cony-Gardiner Game This Friday

I knew it was a rivalry but not being an Augusta or Gardiner native it never really hit me until today this rivalry is one of the oldest in the NATION! I read that at centralmaine.com this morning. I am talking of a rivalry that has endured for ages. The big game  is Friday in Gardiner at 7pm. Even Wikipedia has it on its list of high school football rivalries that are over 100 years old saying it started in 1892.  I lived a long time in Gardiner and I have lived a long time in Augusta...so all I will say to this is....GO TEAM!
