I have been exposed to many different types of businesses over the years, and I can honestly say there is something really special about the wedding industry.  The industry's best vendors really care about their clients.  This includes the venues, florists, bakers, caterers, DJs, and the dress shops.

Renee and the team at Dreams Bridal in Augusta is a prime example of a vendor who really cares for their brides, bridesmaids, grooms, groomsmen, etc.  Through the years the business has served hundreds of clients.  The business, which appears to have opened in the mid-2010s, started at the Augusta Plaza before moving to the Marketplace at Augusta and finally to Water Street in Augusta.

Sadly, it looks like the much loved Central Maine boutique will be closing its doors in early 2023.

According to a Facebook post, the plan is for the business to close in early 2023.  The reason for the closure?  A recent health diagnosis.

The post says, in part:

We will miss that special moment when a bride finds the dress of her dreams. Dreams Bridal became a reality to support women to feel beautiful on their special day, and we are proud to have been able to accomplish that.

The Facebook post also explains that they have reached out to their brides who are expecting dresses to arrange for pickup.  It also explains that, for brides who gowns will come in after they close, that they will have a temporary location on Western Avenue in Augusta.

We wish the best for Renee and her family and can say we will really miss having such an amazing business in our Central Maine community.
