Two Women, One From Maine, Facing Charges in New Hampshire Drug Death
Sadly, over the last few years, we have seen a significant spike in the number of drug deaths here in New England.
One of the most recent drug deaths happened when a woman died at a Conway, New Hampshire hotel in early December of 2025. Now, two women, one from Maine, one from New Hampshire, are facing charges in that incident.
According to an article on the WGME website, police say 51-year-old Christina Babb of Fryeburg and 47-year-old Patricia Baranski of Conway, New Hampshire, were arrested this week in connection with the death of 39-year-old Amanda Parsons.
Investigators say Parsons was found unresponsive at the Hitching Post Motel on December 11, 2025. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the New Hampshire Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, Parsons died from the combined toxic effects of cocaine, methadone, and fentanyl.
Police say the drugs were given to her earlier that same morning — and that those substances directly led to her death.
Both women were charged with the sale of a controlled drug resulting in death
