Scrolling through the pictures, it is kind of hard to believe this house, located in Windsor, has been around since Maine split from Massachusetts.  It was built in 1820!  That makes it the oldest home currently for sale in Central Maine.  In fact, it is probably one of the oldest homes for sale in all of New England.

According to Realtor.com, the home was built in 1820 and features three bedrooms and two bathrooms.  Actually, it has two bedrooms and a downstairs room that could be used as a bedroom, an office, a playroom, a workout room, a bar, or whatever.  There is a nice kitchen, a great dining room, a living room, and there are two bathrooms.  There is also a laundry room tucked away in the bathroom.

The house sits on a 3 acre lot, so there is plenty of room for kids, dogs, whatever.  There's a two car garage, too.

Located on South Belfast Road in Windsor, it is a short walk (or a 30 second drive) from Hussey's General Store.  It's just down the road from the Fusion of Windsor restaurant and it is close enough to the Windsor Fair that you'd probably end up going every day of the fair.

Skinny New England Home Built Out of Spite is For Sale for $1.2M

As the story goes according to Boston Magazine, the home was said to have been built by a man in 1890 on a plot of land that was left by his father to him and his brother. Well, this guy had been off fighting in the Civil War, and once he returned he discovered that his brother had gone ahead and built a big house on that land.

Then, out of pure spite he built the skinny spite house on the remaining plot between his brother's house and another building to block sunlight and harbor views from his brother.
