Opening Day for the Major League Baseball season is 11 days away! I am breaking down each division and today it's the NL West. The division features the defending World Series champions the San Francisco Giants.1. Los Angeles Dodgers - The team has spent money and sometimes that doesn't mean success. The Dodgers have one of the best pitchers, Clayton Kershaw, and one of the best hitters, Matt Kemp. The team has question marks with Josh Beckett, Carl Crawford, Adrian Gonzalez and Hanley Ramirez. I think these players are too good not to have bounce back seasons.

2. San Francisco Giants - The team is stacked with great pitching. The question mark is with the offense. It's hard to argue with the success the team has had lately. The should be back in the thick of the playoff race.

3. Colorado Rockies - Troy Tolowitzki and Carlos Gonzalez are a dynamic one-two punch! Pitching is there big question mark. I expect many of 8-7 games when the Rockies are playing.

4. Arizona Diamondbacks - You got to love a team that has a swimming pool in the stadium! I think the Diamondbacks are heading in the right direction. Plenty of good, young players like Paul Goldschmidt, Trevor Cahill, Ian Kennedy. The key is that they are young. Look for this team to contend in a few years.

5. San Diego Padres - They are young and their pitching isn't good on paper. The don't have many household names, but look for Cameron Maybin to be a star in the near future. I won't expect many wins this season, but hey watching a game in San Diego can't be all bad!

Who do you like in the NL West?
