The Story Behind Andy’s Embarrassing Vacation Photo

It's fun to look back at pictures and see different styles of clothing and hair. To look back and think, 'I thought that was a good look?' I was looking through an old photo album and found a picture from a vacation my dad and I took in May of 1988.

I remember the date because it was just a couple months after my mother passed away, and my dad really wanted to take a vacation. We went to Tarpon Springs, Florida, where we briefly lived about a dozen years earlier. My family is Greek and Tarpon Springs is known for its Greek culture.

In fact, the picture in this story is of us Greek dancing. I was 22 years old during that vacation and had recently lost quite a bit of weight. That is the only reason I can think of for wearing white pants!

I guess twenty years from now, I 'll look at pictures that I think look good now and I'll think the same thing.
