Sadly, we are on course to have a record year for motorcycle crash deaths in the State of Maine.  As of Friday, we had at least 22 motorcycle crash fatalities in 2022.

Unfortunately, it appears that number has increased again...

According to the KJ, a 34 year old man from Canaan has lost his life in a Saturday evening crash.

The article indicates that 34 year old Nicholas Davis died when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle on Tuttle Road in Canaan.  A representative from the Somerset County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened between 4 PM and 5 PM on Saturday.

The article states that one person was inside the vehicle and that they were not hurt in the crash.

As of Sunday morning, the incident was still being investigated.

This is the second fatal crash in Maine in less than a week's time.  On Wednesday morning, 67-year-old Steven Lemieux died in a motorcycle crash near Nonesuch River Golf Club in Scarborough.

Please be safe and watch out for each other.
