Arrest made in 2 Augusta robberies
According WMTW-TV, Augusta police said early today that officers arrested a man on suspicion of robbing two stores this week.
The Subway on Bangor Street was robbed Tuesday afternoon. A man came into the store, demanded money and left. No one was hurt.
In the second case, the Circle K on Eastern Avenue was robbed Wednesday night. No one was hurt.
Officers searched the area following the second case and a Maine State Police dog led them to a nearby home, they said.
Police arrested Christopher Williams, 27, of Augusta.
William was arrested on two counts of robbery and two counts of violation of conditions of release.
