If you visited Disney World or Disneyland in the early days of the parks and you visit Disney today, you will see quite a few changes in the park. Some of the early rides and attractions are gone forever. There was a day on the monorail you could sit up front with the driver simply by asking, but that is no longer allowed.

Also gone is the Aerial Gondola Lift you could take from one end of the park to the other and get a birds-eye view of the park.

Mickey’s and Minnie’s homes are gone, the cartoon looking houses you could walk in and see how they lived, separately of course.

Mr. Toads Wild Ride has been replaced by The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh although you can still find one of Mr. Toad’s original roadsters in the Exposition Hall.

The Submarine Ride is a thing of the past too. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea made you feel like you were submerged under water and got look at the lost city of Atlantis.

There are about 21 thing that have disappeared from Disney World and Disneyland that probably will never come back, so if you were lucky enough to visit the parks early in their inception you got to see the past and now you can see the future.
