The Augusta Free Family Fun Night is This Thursday
Over the last few decades, we have seen National Nights Out gain in popularity.
These events, which happen nationwide, are meant to encourage interaction between local law enforcement agencies and the people in their jurisdiction.
Events in Maine include Lisbon, Auburn, Brunswick, Skowhegan, and Old Town.
The City of Augusta Free Family Fun Night
The City of Augusta's version of this event is called a Free Family Fun night and it will take place at Augusta's Mill Park.
Members of the Augusta Police Department will be grilling up a free dinner of hamburgers and chips.
And, the Darling's Ice Cream truck will be there giving away ice cream - donations suggested. Money donated to the truck during this event will benefit the Augusta Food Bank.
There will be arts & crafts, clowns, photo ops, a bounce house, and lots of giveaways, too. There may even be some martial arts demonstrations at the event.
