Augusta Home Goods Store Sets Opening Date
It was back in March that we first brought you the news that Central Maine was getting a Home Goods store. The very popular store, known for selling goods for your home (duh), was going to be opening a location at the Marketplace at Augusta.
It has taken over six months, but we are finally nearing the opening date for the new store.
According to commercials running on this radio station, the store will open its doors on October 6th.
You'll be able to find the new store in a retail space between The Paper Store and Old Navy.
According to Wikipedia, Home Goods is a national chain that was started in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1992. Given the name, it should not be a surprise that the stores sell items needed for the home. Dishes, pots, pans, linens, etc. It is owned by TJX Companies. TJX also owns TJ Maxx, Sierra Trading Post, and Marshalls. As of 2020, there were just over 800 stores nationwide. In addition to the new Augusta location, Maine & New Hampshire locations of the chain include Rockland, Maine, Scarborough, Maine, Bangor, Maine, Gilford, New Hampshire, and North Conway, New Hampshire.
