Augusta Librarian’s Jeopardy Answer Leads To Charity Donation
Last month Jessica Garsed, an Augusta based medical librarian won $53,000 on Jeopardy. It could have been $54,600 but she got one question wrong. However, that question has lead to a $1600 donation to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maine at Garsed's request.
The $1600 question was:
Nebraska’s Alan Simon made his fortune with mailable beef from this company.
To which she replied:
Omaha Steak
Unfortunately, she left off the "s" which the judges penalized her for, meaning she lost the 1600.
