For about three decades, the offices and studios for B98.5 were hidden behind an aging strip mall on Western Avenue in Augusta.

While these offices were not flashy or in a prominent location, they did their job.  The sturdy building housed our operations during snow storms, scorching hot summers, a global pandemic, and more.

However, things are always changing.  For various reasons, it was decided that we needed a new space for our studios and offices.

We all knew this new space needed to be in a more prominent location.  After all, our parent company is named Townsquare Media, so it only made sense that we be located in the 'town square'.

When the old Rock Shop location on Water Street in Augusta became available, our management team knew this was the place for us.

After a several-month buildout and some big help from our local and corporate engineering teams, we started broadcasting from our new location on February 17th, 2025.

Even though we have had a few visitors come through the building since we made the move, yesterday we held an actual open house event.  In addition to offering tours of our studios to some of Central Maine's notable business people, the KV Chamber was on hand to hold a ribbon-cutting event.

For many, one of the highlights was having a chance to see our conference room mural.  Local photographer Dave Dostie snapped the photo of Augusta, as seen from the east side of the Kennebec River.  Elliot Office Products printed the mural.

It was great having the opportunity to show our new studios off to so many people.
