The Treats From Maine’s Newest Bakery Look as Good as They Taste
We love sharing positive news with you.
After seeing so many Central Maine businesses close over the last few years, it feels great to be able to tell you about the opening of a new business.
We found out earlier today that Augusta has a new bakery.
According to a post on the Augusta, Maine - A Capital Happening Facebook page, a young woman named Jessie Marie has opened J. Marie Cake Company.
Located at 319 Water Street in Augusta, J. Marie Cake Company is like something you'd see in an old movie. Jess operates an old-school bakery where she creates amazing baked goods.
If your idea of the perfect breakfast is a muffin or pastry and a coffee, you'll love this place.
In a recent Facebook post, she explained that she had made,
Banana bread, scones, cinnamon buns, lemon blueberry buns, raspberry buns with pastry cream, raspberry lemon muffins, mascarpone tarts, chocolate chip muffins
She also mentioned that earlier this week, she had sold out by 10:30 AM. So if you plan to stop by, you don't want to wait too long. Yes, the place is that good.
Jessie also creates some unbelievably beautiful wedding cakes.
Actually, a quick scroll through the bakery's Facebook page gives you an idea of what she is capable of creating, including a cake that looks like a bottle of champagne in a bucket of ice, and another that looks like a bucket of Smirnov Ice bottles.
You can get more information about all that she has to offer from her Facebook page.
We are so happy to see Jess open her bakery in downtown Augusta, and wish her all the best.
