‘Bates Motel’ Season 2 Gets ‘Boss’-y With Kathleen Robertson Guest Arc
For as much as we enjoyed the first season of A&E's 'Psycho' prequel series 'Bates Motel,' it seems criminal we should wait until 2014 for our next stay at the iconic getaway. Nonetheless, producers have continued to make the wait worth our while with and impressive pool of talent, the latest among them booking a 'Bates Motel' season 2 stay to be former 'Boss' star Kathleen Robertson.
Via TVLine, Robertson will take the mysterious new recurring role of Jodi, a smart and sexy (and how!) businesswoman / artist who makes a hard charge and often gets what she wants. "Not afraid to use her arsenal of brains, charm and creativity to make things happen," Jodi's natural born leadership makes her a force to be reckoned with, even if we don't quite know how she'll shake up Norma (Vera Farmiga) and Norman (Freddie Highmore)'s world in season 2.
Elsewhere, we know of a quartet of new guest stars checking in for ‘Bates Motel’ season 2, including ‘Alias’ star Michael Vartan as a new love interest for Norma, ‘Hung’ star Rebecca Creskoff as Norma’s first real female friend Christine, ‘Sons of Anarchy‘ vet Kenny Johnson as Norma’s estranged and abusive brother Caleb, and ‘Percy Jackson‘ star Paloma Kwiatkowski as a new love interest for Norman.
“We would be remiss if we didn’t meet some other members of the Bates family,” series creator and former ‘LOST‘ showrunner Carlton Cuse previously stated of the second season. Nestor Carbonell’s mysterious Sheriff Romero will also receive a bigger spotlight in ‘Bates Motel’ season 2, as upcoming episodes will cover more of his home life, and the identity of Dylan (Max Thieriot)’s father may come to light as well.
What say you? Is the 'Bates Motel' getting a bit crowded in season 2, or can the 'Psycho' horror drama only get better with more bodies?
