This contest is open to any high school student currently enrolled in grades 9-12 at a school contained within the B98.5 listening area in the Augusta- Waterville area (listening area to be determined by station staff). The staff of B98.5 (WEBB) and Townsquare Media Augusta-Waterville have the final decision if a school is within the listening area and eligible for the contest.

Beginning on Oct. 12, 2016, B98.5 will begin soliciting entries from local students. Eligible entries will be in the form of photos or videos, and all entries become property of the station. All entries must be original, no copyrighted materials can be used in the photos and videos (such as, but not limited to, copyrighted music and video clips from other sources). Any entries that are determined by station staff to contain copyrighted material will not be eligible in the contest. The determination of station staff as to copyrighted material will be final.

There can be multiple entries for each school, but each participant is limited to one entry per person. In the case of multiple submissions from the same entrant, the first entry received will be considered eligible, and all other entries will be disqualified.

All entries will be submitted on the contest page on the station’s website at b985.fm. No other forms of entry will be accepted. All the required information must be properly completed to be eligible to win.

Townsquare Media and B98.5 are not responsible for any malfunction of the website or any misdirected entries.

The final date for entry submission will be on Oct. 31, 2016. On Nov. 1, 2016, B98.5 will post all the eligible entries, sorted by school, and begin to collect votes to determine which school is the winner. The only way to vote in this phase of the contest will be on the designated contest page on b985.fm. Station staff reserves the right to examine the vote totals, and any fraudulent votes will be disqualified from the contest.

Voting will run until Nov. 8, 2016. After that date, the winning school will be announced. The winning school shall be the one that has received the most eligible votes during the designated voting period.

The contest prize will be a dance at the winning school hosted by the B98.5 staff. All music, talent, and equipment for the dance will be provided by the station.  The time and date of the dance will be determined by the administration of the winning school.

The winning school may not charge admission to the dance, entry will be free. However, schools may sell concessions at the dance to raise money for school programs. The school will keep 100% of all concession money raised at the dance.

If the administration at the winning school declines to allow the station to host a dance at the school, an alternate school will be chosen by station staff to receive the dance. No alternate prize will be awarded.

Townsquare Media and B98.5 are not responsible for any incidents and/or injuries at the dance, and the school will be responsible for providing responsible, adult supervision of students during the event.
