Maine shelters are packed with kittens and adult cats right now and they're looking for homes! This past August the Humane Society of Waterville had more than 130 cats looking for homes.

Midcoast Humane has teamed up with Moderation Brewing to bring awareness of the need for adoptions with KITTENFEST!

Midcoast Humane is the result of Coastal Humane Society of Brunswick and Lincoln County Animal Shelter of Edgecomb joining forces to become one.

The event is being held at Moderation Brewing, located at 103 Maine Street in Brunswick this Sunday from 1-4.

Enjoy a brew and a kitten too at Moderation Brewing for Kittenfest. Meet a bunch of adoptable felines and meet with an adoption specialist to answer all your questions and to assist you in the adoption process. They will also be raising money for Midcoast Humane.

According to Midcoast Humane's website, when you adopt a cat from their shelter they will already be spayed or neutered, microchipped, up to date on rabies and distemper vaccinations, treated for fleas and ticks, been de-wormed, been tested for FIV, Leukemia, and Heartworm, had their ears cleaned and had any other medical issues addressed.

Make sure you bring a kitty carrier and a designated driver for Kittenfest! Get all the details by following the event page, here.
