This Hidden Maine Gem Has Been Named One of the Best Bars in America

If your idea of fun is having a few drinks with your friends, Maine is a great place to live.

We are fortunate to have some of the best bars in the country.  And, we have such a variety.  We’ve got sophisticated cocktail bars perched atop rooftops in downtown Portland, we have bars that feature entertainment by some of the best bands and DJs in New England, we’ve got bars that are right on the beach, and, of course, we have our fair share of old school corner bars.

Recently, Tasting Table put out their list of the best bars in each state.

The Best Bar in Maine

According to the article, the best bar (more specifically, the best dive bar) in Maine is Ruski’s Tavern in Portland.

The article references the fact that, in addition to being a typical bar, the establishment also offers some great food.
