The Sale of Jersey Mike’s Means Big, Tasty, Changes to Locations in Maine, New Hampshire, & Massachusetts
In November, we told you that popular sub shop chain Jersey Mike's was being purchased by asset management firm Blackstone.
The deal, worth about $8 billion, has Blackstone taking ownership of the chain's 2,800 locations spread across North America.
As Blackstone's takeover is about to close, the chain has announced some tasty changes.
According to The Takeout, the chain is going to capitalize on America's love for chicken. While the chain has previously had chicken offerings on the menu, these ones are a little different. One is incredibly filling and the other really spices things up.
The cold sub menu's roasted chicken sandwich is basic, but filling. It has several layers of roasted chicken with lots of onions, tomatoes, and lettuce. Plus, it includes the chain's popular sub dressing, which they call 'the juice'.
On the hot menu, the chain is now offering the Spicey Chicken Italian. This sub features chicken breast, pepperoni, melted provolone cheese, and a heap of pepper relish. Sounds like it has a kick!
If you are trying to cut your carbs, you can get either of these chicken offerings as a sub bowl. Basically, that is all of the fixings in a bowl, without the bread.

You need to keep in mind that these subs will only be around for a limited time, so if you love chicken don't wait too long to try one.
