Many families travel far from home and spend several weeks or months to get treatment for their seriously ill or injured children – a long time to be away or to divide a family. And, for children facing a serious medical crisis, nothing seems scarier than not having mom and dad close by for love and support. A Ronald McDonald House is that “home-away-from-home” for families so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little or no cost.

The Ronald McDonald houses have been bringing families together in times of need for years, and here's a good way to help out.

This Sunday from 3 PM-7 PM there will be a Bowl-A-Thon at Sparetime Bowling at 215 Whitten Road in Hallowell to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House.

Get a team of 5 together, gather some pledges, and bowl multiple strings over a 2 hour time slot, and raise some money for this great cause, and also have a chance at some great prizes and trophies.

So dust of those bowling shoes (or rent a pair) and come bowl to help out a wonderful charity.
