After debuting in early 2019, Brandi Carlile's Girls Just Wanna Weekend is set to return for a second year from Jan. 29 through Feb. 2, 2020. The festival will once again feature an all-female lineup, and will take place in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

In addition to three headlining sets from Carlile, the weekend will feature performances from Sheryl Crow, Lake Street Dive, Patty Griffin, indie pop group Lucius, singer-songwriter KT Tunstall, Amanda Shires, Jade Bird and Yola. Comedian Wanda Sykes is also included on the festival bill, and special guests Natalie Hemby, Ruby Amanfu and Katie Herzig are also set to make an appearance. "I am beside myself with excitement to announce this incredible lineup for our 2nd Girls Just Wanna Weekend festival," Carlile shared on Instagram.

When she debuted her Girls Just Wanna Weekend, Carlile explained that she came up with the idea for the all-female festival as a way to address gender inequality and return to the early lessons instilled in her by her experience growing up with '90s all-female concert tour Lilith Fair.

"Mainstream festivals in the U.S. habitually exclude women as headline artists equal to men," Carlile pointed out. "I was brought up by Lilith Fair to believe that men and women enjoy live music equally, and that women can not only headline a festival, they can BE a festival."

Tickets for the 2020 Girls Just Wanna Weekend will go on sale on Friday, May 10 at 12PM ET. The festival will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya, with a variety of luxurious lodging accommodations to choose from. For more details, visit the Girls Just Wanna Weekend's website.
