Is Buck’s Naked BBQ Really Opening a Location in Central Maine?

Even though we think of good BBQ as being a "southern" thing, we do have some really great BBQ places here in Maine.

We have restaurants that feature fall off the bone ribs, slow smoked brisket, and pulled pork that's just begging to be turned into a sandwich.  All of these meals accented by the perfect sauce.

Makes you hungry just thinking about it, doesn't it?  Yeah, me too.

One of the more notable Maine BBQ places is Buck's Naked BBQ.

While the name is attention grabbing, the food (of course) is what makes people fall in love with this place.

Ask anyone in Southern Maine what their favorite BBQ place is and there is a good chance a large number will tell you that it is Buck's.

Now, it looks as though they are getting ready to open a new location in downtown Gardiner.

While we cannot be sure, it looks as though they make be going into the spot that was left vacant by the closure of 266 Still Water.  The Italian restaurant had been located at 266 Water Street in Gardiner, Maine.

A post on the company's Facebook page seems to confirm the plan to open a new location in Gardiner.

There is no word on when the location might be opening.  Clearly, we are excited and we wish them all the best.
