The Third Annual 'Camp Out Hunger' Starts Next Week!

Can you believe that it's back again? Actually, can you believe that this is the third year in a row we've done this? Neither can we. And we're so glad that Central Maine RV Rescue is back on board as our partner.

Mark your calendar (do people still do that), or better yet, just put a reminder in your phone to join us for our annual Camp Out Hunger event coming up at Sam's Club at the Marketplace in Augusta.

As Central Maine's Largest food drive, we're preparing once again to take non-perishable food donations as well as cash donations that will all go to benefit local area food pantries and the Capital Region Salvation Army. We all know that when it comes to food insecurity, the statistics in Maine are way too high. That's exactly why we do this. All we need now is you.

You will see (at least) two campers parked back to back for 5 straight days in the Sam's Club parking lot. That's where we will live for the entire week. The 92 Moose & B98.5 morning shows will work around the clock all week asking you to stop in and make a donation. Whether it's morning, noon or night, we don't care.. we just want to see you there.

Last year we raised over $20,000 in cash and more than 100,000 pounds of food and we're hoping to do that and more this year. We know it's been really hard on Maine people for the last 20 months or so, and it's been especially hard for those that were already dealing with food insecurity.

So stop by, make a donation and grab a selfie with us! If you want, we'll even take you for a rip on our sweet golf cart provided by Ripley & Fletcher Pre-Owned in Farmington!
