Sadly, food insecurity has been a problem for the State of Maine for decades.  Honestly, it has probably always been a problem for Maine's residents.  However, the huge economic changes we have seen over the last few years have made the problem much worse than it has ever been.

Our goal is to do something about it!

The Camp Out Hunger Food Drive, put on by Townsquare Media stations B98.5 and 92 Moose, is our way of fighting food insecurity in Central Maine.

Just like in years past, we'll be camped out at Sam's Club in Augusta for five days collecting non-perishable food items and monetary donations for the Capital Region Salvation Army.  Yes, we'll be there from Tuesday morning (November 7th) through about Noon on Saturday (November 11th).

This year, instead of trying to fill as many smaller trucks as we can, we'll be taking on the massive task of filling up an 18 WHEELER from our friends at Allen's Transfer.  Yes, it's a big undertaking but, with your help, we believe we can do it!

One of the great things about Camp Out Hunger is that all of the food collected during the event stays right here in Central Maine.  It will go to help your co-workers, neighbors, classmates, and members of your family fed during the coming months.

If you just don't have time to stop by to make a donation, you can make one right now through our secured online donation page.

Additionally, we are going to be throwing a pizza party on Friday evening, November 10th. Cappza's Pizza will be loading us up with fresh, piping hot pizzas on Friday from 4-7p. Anyone who makes a donation of any kind to Camp Out Hunger can grab a slice of pizza and soda for free!
