Maine State Police Investigating the Deaths of a Man & Woman
According to an article on the WGME website, the Maine State Police are investigating after two people were found dead inside a West Bath home on Thursday morning.
According to state police, troopers responded to a residence at 98 State Road at approximately 10:41 AM after receiving a request to conduct a welfare check.
When authorities arrived, they discovered the bodies of 77-year-old Carolyn Harris and 75-year-old Kevin Harris, both of West Bath, inside the home.
The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit was called to the scene and is assisting with the investigation. As is standard procedure in cases involving unattended deaths, both bodies were transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta, where autopsies will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death.
Investigators have not released any additional details about the circumstances surrounding the deaths, and the investigation remains ongoing.
State police emphasized that there is no danger to the public at this time.
