Some Celsius Cans May Contain Vodka: New York & Massachusetts Take Note
These days, there are so many canned beverages that it is sometimes difficult to keep track of them all.
Between the energy drinks, specialized sports drinks, canned coffees, canned waters, hard seltzers, and other boozy drinks, the coolers of most grocery stores and convenience stores are filled.
One of the most popular canned energy drink brands is Celsius. In business since 2004, the company now holds about 11% of the energy drink market. They sell about $19 billion in products each year.
If you are a regular drinker of Celsius, you may get a surprise the next time you crack open a can.
Some Cans of Celsius May Contain High Nook Vodka Drink
According to an article on the NBC News website, the Food and Drug Administration has posted a warning on its website saying that some cans of the popular energy drink may actually contain an alcoholic beverage.
The article goes on to explain that some of the High Noon Beach Variety packs contain cans are filled with High Noon vodka seltzer alcohol but have been mislabeled as Celsius Astro Vibe energy drink. Specifically, it is the Sparkling Blue Razz Edition with a silver top.
The confusion reportedly happened when the company that makes the Celsius cans delivered them to a High Noon factory by accident.
The article explains that these products were shipped to retailers in Florida, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia and Wisconsin from July 21 to July 23. However, there is always the chance that cans containing High Noon could have been shipped elsewhere.
