According to WMTW, Central Maine is in the direct path of a small winter storm system that will be passing by late Monday night into Tuesday morning- and that could make for a trickier-than-normal commute.

WMTW says that the system will move across the Great Lakes during the day on Monday and move over Maine Monday night. During the event, Central Maine and the mid-coast could see up to a few inches of snow by the time noontime rolls around.

However they do say the higher amounts are likelier towards the coast. That being said, Augusta and Waterville, as well as surrounding towns, could still pick up a couple inches from this storm.

This small storm however isn't the major focus for this week. There's actually a significantly larger storm system that Maine could see Friday night into Saturday. We will of course keep you updated with any new details we get about that storm system.
