About Chris Cagle
Born in Louisiana, Chris Cagle first made a name for himself writing songs for David Kersh before landing a deal with Virgin Records Nashville in 2000. He hit the country charts with “My Love Goes On and On,” the first single from his debut album, Play It Loud. That album went gold and also gave fans hits like “Laredo” and “I Breathe In, I Breathe Out,” which became his only No. 1 song.
Cagle kept the momentum going with his self-titled second album, Chris Cagle, released in 2002 on Capitol Records Nashville. That project also earned gold status and included popular tracks like “What a Beautiful Day” and “Chicks Dig It.”
In 2005, he released Anywhere but Here, which featured the fan favorite “Miss Me Baby.” Then came My Life's Been a Country Song in 2008, led by the hit “What Kinda Gone,” which climbed to No. 3 on the country charts. After leaving Capitol later that year, Cagle signed with Bigger Picture Music Group in 2011 before eventually stepping away from music in 2015.
