Chubby Checker says he belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and they better do it soon or they can drop dead. Checker doesn’t want to be inducted when he’s 85 years old, he wants it now while he’s 73 and still able to perform.

Chubby Checker, the singer of ‘The Twist’ and it’s follow-up ‘Let’s Twist Again’, are considered among the most popular songs in Rock and Roll history. ‘The Twist’ was the first song to win a Grammy Award in 1962. It was on the date (8-1-16) 'The Twist' was released. He thinks being added to the Hall will give a boost to his career and allow him to keep performing like the Rolling Stone, Hall and Oates and others who are in the Hall and still tour.
