A pair of Canadian songwriters has filed a lawsuit against Carrie Underwood over one of her biggest hits. According to tasteofcountry.com they claim they wrote a song called ‘Something in the Water’ and it is very similar to her hit song by the same name. They say they wrote the song in 2012 and sent to Underwood’s team but never heard back from them. They claim that Underwood is guilty of copyright infringement.

Randy Travis attended an event in his hometown of Marshville, North Carolina that dedicated a sign boasting the birthplace of the country star. According to tasteofcountry.com Travis’ name had a sign welcoming people to the town for years but was taken down in 2014 not long after his stroke in 2013. Travis fans around the country weren’t happy about that and let the town’s mayor know about it. People in the town say they are happy with the updated sign.

Luke Bryan is about to kick off his 9th annual Farm Tour. His opening act is Jon Pardi along a bunch of new artists. On tasteofcountry.com Bryan’s Farm Tour will take place from September 28 to October 7. Since 2009 when the tour started he has given out 50 scholarships to local students of farming families in communities he visits.
